Friendly staff, exquisite breakfast, breathtaking views of river and cherry blossoms. Convenient location near train station. Incredible service, patient and accommodating. Delicious kaiseki meal, beautifully plated. Spacious room with extra sitting area. Plenty of outlets for sharing. Polite and helpful amenities with nice extras like biscuits and bathroom robes. Large room compared to nearby Kyoto hotels. Excellent river view. Close to Byodo-in Temple, nearby temples, and shops. Very friendly staff.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the window was amazing. The complementary hot water flask and tea facilities were a nice touch. Plus, the location was stunning.
The lack of central heating was unpleasant. It was freezing in the toilets and corridors.

The location is stunning and perfect for a romantic getaway. The food was the highlight of our stay, with unique and beautifully presented Japanese dishes that were both delicious and plentiful. We were also impressed by the attentive and friendly service from the staff.
we found that the breakfast offerings were the same every day, which grew repetitive after a few days. we had an enjoyable experience but would not recommend staying for more than a few nights due to the limited amenities and repetitive breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at this riverside ryokan with beautiful views of the river and cherry blossom trees. The staff provided outstanding hospitality despite the language barrier, making us feel relaxed and pampered. The Japanese breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the multi-course dinner was a highlight. The spacious room had a sitting area and plenty of outlets, and the common bath provided a relaxing experience. The location in a charming neighborhood made us feel like we were experiencing the real Japan.
The wifi was only accessible in common areas, not in the room.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The staff here are incredibly friendly and accommodating, even though they have limited English skills. The hotel is spotlessly clean, just like the rest of Japan. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the river and cherry blossoms. It is also conveniently located within a 15-minute walk from the train station.
This place offers enhanced comfort and quality services. The traditional Japanese rooms are large and comfortable, allowing us to relax and spend time in peace.

Spent my Easter at a traditional Japanese inn by the river. the views were stunning, being surrounded by cherry blossoms was amazing! the staff were very friendly, warm hospitality, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. the Japanese breakfast was a highlight, so fresh and a great way to start the day. the short walk from the train station made it very convenient for us.
The rooms were spacious, but some upgrades are needed as the bathroom was dark, and lacked modern amenities, no fridge or bottled water. the tea service was a bit disappointing as we were only provided with two green teabags.
